DRAFT Minutes of the meeting of High Littleton Parish Council held on Tuesday 8 October 2024 7 pm.
Councillors present
K Fuglesang, C Lindley, S Gould, A Godwin, P Ghillyer, R Lane and Ward Cllr A Morgan (arrived 7.10pm).
Opportunity for the members of the public to speak (the public are asked to limit their address to 5 minutes with maximum time allowed 20 minutes). Please note that the Parish Council cannot make a decision on any item which is not on the agenda, but items may be put forward for a future agenda.
A resident thanked the Council for the upkeep of the cemetery and commented that it is looking very tidy.
A member of the speed watch team attended the meeting with concerns re the confusing signage on the approach to the school from either direction.
The Council will liaise with B&NES Highways Engineer re the signage.

Deferred. S Gould reported that there is an online meeting with B&NES planning re the toolkit to discuss each site. An interim meeting of the working group (formed in August of A Godwin, S Gould, P Ghillyer and K Fuglesang) will take place and a proposed comment will be brought to the November meeting for agreement.

2410.10 To receive any updates on district matters from Ward Cllr Ann Morgan
Cllr Morgan reported a resident has concerns that the traffic monitoring strips on the road by Harts Lane are in a poor location – Cllr Fuglesang to liaise with B&NES Highways engineer.
Cllr Morgan has been approached by Green Open Homes with plans to develop land on and around Church Farm.
The Council agreed to invite Green Open Homes to a Council meeting with a view to arrange a public consultation for residents to view any proposal and give feedback.

C Lindley reported some tree fall due to the rain and wind, paths have been strimmed and ash die back is being marked.
- Environmental Group
R Lane reported 3 bat walks have taken place with none planned now until the spring, a litter pick took place in September, a quieter Repair Cafe with 11 items and a fund-raising quiz takes place on 27 November in the Scout Hall.
- Parish sweeping – [TO RESOLVE] to consider and decide sweep areas for November
Resolved outstanding items from last sweep to be done including Butlass Close and Scumbrum Lane.

The Council reviewed and updated the Highways Sheet.

The Council agreed to organise a poll of residents, on facebook, re bus services in the parish.

S Gould reported that the plan is with an independent examiner.

The Council noted that Church Farm is now owned by Green Open Homes.

The Council noted L Sheen’s resignation to take effect after the December meeting.

Ward Cllr Morgen agreed to investigate the decision to remove the polling station.
