Minutes of the Meeting of High Littleton Parish Council held on Tuesday 10 March 2026 7 pm.

Councillors present

A Godwin, K Fuglesang, S Gould, M Whiting, C Ingle, L Thornton and P Ghillyer. 

Co-option of resident onto the Parish Council – Luanne Thornton completed a declaration of acceptance and register of interests form and joined the Parish Council meeting.

Opportunity for the members of the public to speak (the public are asked to limit their address to 5 minutes with maximum time allowed 20 minutes). Please note that the Parish Council cannot make a decision on any item which is not on the agenda, but items may be put forward for a future agenda.

The Council heard from:

  1. Residents with concerns re recent updates to documents regarding Hallatrow Business Park planning applications.

The Council agreed to enquire if, in view of the addition of new documents to the planning applications, the comments section on the portal would be opened for residents to provide comment.

The Council agreed to investigate if and how an appeal could be made.

The Council noted that R Lane has met with the PCC this month.

The Council noted payment of the 2025.26 grant will be made this month.

The Council noted delivery of the March/April edition is complete.

  1. Greyfield Wood

P Ghillyer reported logs are being removed gradually, stone has been laid on the main track and a collapsed mine has been sectioned off to be filled.

  • Parish sweeping – [TO RESOLVE] to consider and approve any areas to be swept

Resolved to approve pavement by the miner on New Road and the bench area opposite The Haynes.  Any other areas nearby to be sent to the Clerk for inclusion.

  • Highway/footpath Issues  

The Council reviewed and updated the Highways Sheet.  L Thornton to lead on the issues of prams and wheelchairs using the Hallatrow Bridge.  K Fuglesang reported that the faulty VAS outside the school will be a priority in the new financial year.

  • Transport/buses – [TO RESOLVE] to consider and approve a joint letter signed by the Chair and District Councillor to demonstrate unity and determination re the Cam Valley Bus proposal

The Council reviewed and commented on the draft provided by P Ghillyer.  Amended draft to be circulated for comment/approval.

The Council noted a full Council with the addition of Luanne.

  • CIL Funds – [TO RESOLVE] to consider and decide 2026 CIL projects/expenditure

Resolved to fund the vehicle monitoring counters on Hallatrow Bridge and New Road from CIL.  Resolved to approve funds for replacement plants for village planters.

The Council noted that the company had been unable to remove the boards in February for refurbishment.
