Minutes of the meeting of High Littleton Parish Council held on Tuesday 10 December 2024 7 pm.

Opportunity for the members of the public to speak (the public are asked to limit their address to 5 minutes with maximum time allowed 20 minutes). Please note that the Parish Council cannot make a decision on any item which is not on the agenda, but items may be put forward for a future agenda.
The Council noted that this was the last meeting that L Sheen would attend as he will be resigning as Parish Councillor at the end of December. The Council thanked L Sheen for over 9 years of service on the Parish Council.

Resolved to approve moving £60 000 to the Council reserve account to earn interest while the Council investigate a suitable high-interest rate account.

Deferred. The Council noted that the derelict RBL hut would make an ideal Youth Centre – S Gould to liaise with the Royal British Legion.

Resolved to approve a donation of £1000 – £500 has been budgeted for and the forecast at the end of 2024.25 financial year is for a slight underspend which should cover the additional £500.

P Ghillyer reported trees down on main tracks which are being cleared by the Woodland Trust.

R Lane reported that the December Repair Cafe was cancelled due to the weather and the quiz in November raised £100.

Resolved that i) Butlass Close be requested to be swept ii) the sweep budget be set at £3000 to be used on an as needed basis.

The Council agreed to draft a survey to gauge resident views on the current bus services. P Ghillyer to lead.

S Gould reported that the consultation is coming to an end, and the plan will then be assessed by an Independant Examiner.

The Council noted that there will be no quick resolution to this derelict property and fly tipping in the car park will be reported to B&NES Council.

The Council noted that there will be 2 vacancies at the end of December.

- Village planters funded by Ward Councillor fund
The Council agreed to organise these in the New Year.
- Councillor lanyards – [TO RESOLVE] to consider and decide a design for a Parish Council Logo
Resolved that the Council enquire if the image on the village entrance signs can be used to make up a logo for Councillor badges for the lanyards.
- Christmas trees/Carol Concert
The Council noted that the trees withstood the stormy weather, and the Christmas Carols will take place at the Triangle in Hallatrow at 7.15 pm on Monday 16 December.
