sent the Section 106 agreement signed by the Council to Mr Simon Elias
(B&NES Legal Department). Mr Elias returned the agreement with the
document signed by the Vernon Hitchman Solicitor to the Council. Mr
Elias stated that the monies will be sent once Mr Andy Chard B&NES
Parks Technical Officer) receives sufficient details of the proposed
play uses that are approved by the Council. Mr J Shears will meet with

Bokacz (B&NES Enforcement) emailed the Clerk to say she has visited
the site and states that it requires planning permission. She has
verbally notified the owner. Ms Bokacz will also send out a planning

Speed Restrictions
Review The Clerk wrote to Mr Mike Weston (B&NES Traffic Engineer) regarding
the Councils request for a 40mph speed restriction between High
Littleton and Hallatrow supported with the Council’s argument. Mr
Weston replied that he has passed the Council’s letter to the Police
asking if they will respond directly to the Council. No news. The Clerk
was requested to chase the Police for a response. ·
Proposed road
improvements and request for continuation of footway on the Mr R Hitchens drafted a letter to Mr Councillor Charles Gerrish
regarding the Council’s request for the extension of the footway along
the ·
Increasing number
of vehicles using The Clerk emailed Mr L Kew asking for developments. Mr Kew replied that
he will look into the matter in the near future. ·
Vehicles driving
on the footway – High Street Mr Mike Weston wrote to the Council stating that he disagrees with the
proposal of bollards as it would create unnecessary obstruction. The
only solution he can see is raising the footway in the future when the
low floor buses are introduced to the bus route. The Council discussed
the matter. Mr P Wyatt will speak to Mr Weston and inform him that
although he may claim that he has not seen anyone driving on the
footway, the Council has received reports that this is not the case.
The Council discussed this matter and agreed to remove from the agenda. 2.
Parking matters ·
Parking on The Clerk wrote to Somer Housing Trust on the 24th June 2008
to request a response to the letter dated 17th March 2008.
The Clerk received a reply that the matter is being passed to the Asset
Management Department. |
